James Cuthbertson joined the Ironart team in February 2012 as an apprentice architectural metalworker after Ironart was generously awarded a charitable grant. He has been an enormous asset to the team and is now a project manager, overseeing jobs from start to finish and taking a key role in our EN10 90 accreditation. James works with CAD to refine sketches and designs before they are realised in the workshop.
James is a keen “tinkerer” and doesn’t like to resign anything to the scrapheap if he can help it! He heads up our machinery maintenance and repairs programme, always finding ways to keep the workshop running smoothly. Outside of work James can be found working on his many personal projects including a Victorian narrow boat. When he has the chance he enjoys bike rides with his kids.
