The British Artist Blacksmiths Association Conference is just around the corner from 18th – 20th August. A group of us from Ironart are going along and this year it is taking place at the Butser Ancient Farm near Waterlooville in Hampshire.

The event offers fascinating insights into the world of Artist Blacksmithing and everyone is welcome. Meet blacksmiths from all over the UK, watch live hands-on demonstrations and listen to inspiring talks over the weekend from highly respected peers within our heritage craft.

Absolutely anyone can attend the full programme of events including the evening entertainment, camping and catering by purchasing a ticket from the BABA website www.baba.org.uk

Alternatively just visit for the day as a paying visitor to Butser Ancient Farm which is open 10am – 4pm daily. Here is a link to more information. The farm is an open-air experimental archaeology museum and active research centre which is open to the public. Step back in time and get close up with buildings, technologies, and animals from the ancient past.
