Coalbrookdale Passion Flower Bench

In 2013 the team at Ironart restored a lovely three seat cast iron garden bench which we are sure is an original Coalbrookdale. Known as the ‘Passion Flower’ design, this pattern of bench was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale Company in 1862 and is seat number 32 in their 1875 castings catalogue. Martin cleverly recreated several missing sections, combining his skills as an artist blacksmith with his cast iron restoration expertise. The bench was finally painted in a colour called Mid Brunswick green which is the closest colour we have been able to match to the original.

If you have an antique cast iron bench which is in need of refurbishment or repair, and you’d like some advice, please get in touch.
