The Ironart team were commissioned to make this stunning garden gate, together with bespoke handrails on the garden steps for a couple who live here on our doorstep in Larkhall on the edge of Bath. Our clients commissioned an equally beautiful front gate from us several years ago and  wanted a unique and expressive design for the garden at the back of their house. 

The flowing organic shapes within Andy’s design echo the front gate, with tapered, textured flowing bars which are tenoned and rivetted into the central hub. A design that is as much a piece of sculpture as a practical solution. Talented blacksmith Cecily who has worked with the Ironart team for many years and was involved in the original commission for this house, was responsible for realising Andy’s design on the forge.

In keeping with the sun theme, our clients chose a gold painted finish from the Ardenbrite metallic range for a reflective quality you don’t get with conventional paint. Dean was responsible for the unusual finish on this project which was fitted on site by long-standing Ironart stalwart Luke.
