Martin has just put the finishing touches to this elaborate Coalbrookdale cast iron umbrella stand. This piece came to us for restoration from an enthusiast who has a collection of Coalbrookdale items and catalogues.

Larkhall Open Studios 2015
On Saturday 2nd May from 10am – 3pm our workshops will be open as part of the Larkhall Festival weekend.
Adrian and Dom have just put the finishing touches to this wondrous double bed frame for a client in Salisbury. This was an original design by Andy Thearle, incorporating plenty of lovely forging and collaring details – it took many, many hours of painstaking work to complete but it has been well worth the effort!
Ironart’s Jason Balchin, Alan Patterson and Adrian Booth made these symmetrical handrails as part of a much bigger project incorporating double gates and railings for a lovely period house in Weston on the edge of Bath.

The Ironart team have joined forces with Swainswick Explorers to offer blacksmithing tuition to groups of children from the ‘Valley Schools’ on the east side of Bath.
We first blogged about this neat and beautiful way of displaying the commemorative ceramic poppies a few weeks ago. Through word-of-mouth and social media the word has been spreading about this display idea and we have been approached by lots of people wanting us to adapt their Tower of London poppy in the same way.
