Team day trip to Wolverhampton!
On Thursday the entire team downed tools and headed off on a sunny day trip to Wolverhampton! Andy wanted to introduce the Ironart team to some of our suppliers, to give everyone an insight into different aspects of the architectural metalwork “supply chain” and how it all works.
Bath WI garden in Victoria Park, Bath
The local Bath WI group have a community garden in the beautiful Botantical Gardens in Royal Victoria Park, Bath. The garden is entirely made up of edible plants and flowers.
Restoration of gate, panels and overthrow at St Mary Tory, Bradford on Avon
This historic gate, overthrow and side panels belong to the St Mary Tory chapel in Bradford on Avon and date back to the early 1800’s.
Contemporary forgework – The Poppy Panel, Clevedon
An album of images showing a lovely forged ‘Poppy Panel’ made earlier this year by the Ironart team. This short section of decorative balustrading was inspired by Ironart’s impressive Meadow Gate project.
The ‘Sun Flower’ Sculpture, Bathwick Hill
Andy and the team were up at the crack of dawn on Saturday 14th June to set up the spectacular ‘Sun Flower’ sculpture on the roundabout at the bottom of Bathwick Hill in the centre of Bath.
Railing restoration – Rivers Street, Bath
The team at Ironart were commissioned to restore a single gate and railings on a Georgian town house in Rivers Street, Bath.
St James’s Square balcony restoration
Martin restored two really pretty Georgian balconettes a few weeks ago. These balconettes were situated on the back of a house in St James’s Square in the centre of Bath.
Trial assembly of the Sun Flower sculpture…
Many hands on deck this morning as Andy put the Sun Flower sculpture together for the first time. The whole team here in the workshop were involved, with some head-scratching and problem solving along the way.
